An estimated 13.4 million babies were born pre-term in 2020, with nearly 1 million dying from preterm complications, according to a new report released by United Nations agencies and partners. This is equivalent to around 1 in 10 babies born early (before 37 weeks of pregnancy) worldwide.
Through the Preemie Foundation's dedicated efforts, we have not only raised awareness about the unique needs of preemies but have also mobilized resources to enhance neonatal care facilities across the country. By bridging the gap between medical needs and available resources, the Foundation has instilled hope in countless families, ensuring that premature babies receive the best possible start.
